Yoga means "union". Yoga aims to bring this union through the integration of different components of body and mind into a harmonious whole and the next stage through the union of individual self-defense with the higher self. Yoga joins an unorganized body and mind in a package which leads to the realization of the opening of energy channels and flowering of his consciousness. This union is achieved by the eight members yoga called Ashtanga Yoga. These eight steps are: absent yama (), Niyama (observances), asana (postures), pranayama (breath control), pratyahara (withdrawal of senses), Dharana (concentration of mind), Dhyana (meditation) and samadhi (transcendental state). Yama is to observe the five rules: ahimsa (nonviolence), Satya (truth), asteya (steal), (celibate chastity) and aparigraha (denying the goods). Niyama also consists to observe the five rules: Sauchie (purity), Santosha (contentment), tapas (austeirty) svadhyaya (independent study) and Isvara-pranidhana (worship). Asana is the practice of various yoga postures to discipline the body and take it as an appropriate instrument of the divine. Pranayama is the control of respiration. Breathing puraka is called, is breathing out called rechaka and interruption of breathing is called kumbhaka. In Yoga, the practitioner of conscious practice by inhalation and exhalation in various models, until it allows complete control over your breathing can do for kumbhaka long periods of time. In India, there are people who can report in secrecy for months without oxygen and continue living. They can do so because of its perfect mastery of pranayama. Pratyahara involves the withdrawal of the senses from their objects of sense through a process of detachment and turn its attention inward itself. This is to prepare the mind for the next three steps, which are together called samyama. Dharana is fixing the mind on specific point or purpose for a period of time. The mind is fickle by nature. This must be controlled for meaningful spiritual life. Thanks Dharana have the spirit to a current of thought and learn to control their movements. This is a very important step in Yoga for the mind control is essential for progress in the manner. Dhayni is being able to direct the flow of thought to a specific topic, without distraction. Samadhi is the transcendental state achieved by the end of all practices of yoga. There are different levels of Samadhi, as the degree of duality or consciousness of duality experienced. It is believed that the successful practice of yoga in outcomes supernatural powers called siddhis. But we are strongly advised not to fall into their trap. Siddhis are powerful forces of Prakriti and are an important part of the arsenal of high expectations. In fact lead to a greater illusion of lowering the heights of spiritualism. Applicants are therefore advised not to show their siddhis and do not use it to their selfish ends.
